Winter Gear Donations
Between October and March, DESK collects and distributes winter gear for our guests who come each night. You can help by dropping off brand new or gently-used items from the list below. Please bring only items that are clean and in good condition.
Winter gear donations can be brought to us at 311 Temple Street (north-side basement entrance); drop-off times are Monday-Thursday, 1:00-4:00 pm and Sunday (12:00-3:00 pm) or by appointment. Questions? Email us or call (203) 624-6246.

(While we accept items for all ages and genders, please bear in mind that about 80% of our guests are adult men.)
- Winter coats
- Warm socks (new only)
- Sweatshirts and Sweaters
- Flannel and Other Warm Long-sleeve Shirts
- Winter hats (stocking caps)
- Mittens and Gloves
- Table Clothes (Not exactly winter gear, but we’re always looking for linen table clothes for our rectangular 8-foot tables!)
Winter Gear Drive
Are you interested in hosting a Winter Gear Drive for DESK at your office, school, or social club? It’s a great way to provide some direct help and spread the word about the need!
