Amity High School
25 Newton Rd, Woodbridge CT 06525
On Wednesday April 3rd, the National Art Honor Society of Amity High School in partnership with the Jamie Hulley Fund for the Arts and the Culinary Department will be hosting an Empty Bowls Event. This event will bring students and community members together in the service of those who are currently struggling with the inability to afford enough food. The students have been working since November creating and decorating the ceramic bowls for the event and are looking forward to a wonderful evening to celebrate this cause. To participate in this event, community members are asked to come to the Amity High school between 5:30-and 7:30pm. Each patron will receive a handcrafted bowl, their choice of soup, bread and entertainment for a minimum donation of $10. If anyone is interested in donating to the event, but cannot come on Wednesday night they can send a donation to the National Art Honor Society at Amity High School. All proceeds from the event will go to the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen in New Haven.Read more...
